Behind the Design: The Inspiration for Our Fall Collection

Have you ever wondered where designers get their ideas? Today we want to share the story behind our new fall collection at Itgaps.

Finding Beauty in Simple Lines

As two students who love fashion, we’re always looking at the world around us for inspiration. For our fall collection, we found it in the simplest places: the gentle curve of fallen leaves, the straight lines of city buildings against autumn skies, and the soft waves of fabric when draped just right.

We believe that beauty doesn’t have to be complicated. Some of the most striking designs come from the simplest shapes and lines.

Our Color Story

This season, we chose colors that remind us of quiet autumn mornings:

  • Soft caramel that looks like fallen leaves
  • Gentle moss green from forest walks
  • Warm cream like morning fog
  • Deep burgundy like the last flowers of the season

These colors not only look beautiful together but also mix easily with pieces you might already have.

From Sketch to Shirt

Each piece in our collection starts as a simple drawing. We ask ourselves: “How can we make this simpler? What can we take away while keeping the beauty?”

Sometimes we remove pockets or extra seams. Other times, we change a complex pattern to a single color. The goal is always the same—to create clothing that feels effortless but special.

The Details Matter

Even though our style is simple, we care deeply about details. The perfect stitch that you only notice up close. The way a sleeve falls just right. The fabric that gets softer with each wash instead of wearing out.

These small touches might not be obvious at first glance, but they’re what make you reach for the same shirt again and again.

Try It Yourself

We hope our fall collection brings a bit of calm, simple beauty to your everyday life. Each piece was designed to be worn many different ways and to last for many seasons to come.
